Pi Day Memory Challenge
New year, new competition! How many digits of pi do you know off the top of your head? 5? 20? 100? Well now is the time to put your memorization skills to the test!
This year, our competition is simple: recite as many digits of pi as you can from memory in 30 seconds. The winner of the competition will be the person who recites the most digits of pi correctly. We’ve headed over to TikTok to host this competition, so that is the easiest way to enter. If you don’t have TikTok, no worries! Just submit your entry to [email protected].
The contest closes Friday, March 12, 2021. The winner will be announced on Pi Day, March 14, 2021 on our facebook livestream, following Siva Natarajan’s recitation of 10,000 digits of Pi.

2nd place – Anika Dasgupta (grade 12) recited 208 digits!
3rd place – Jem Leighton-Scholes (age 11) recited 131 digits of Pi!

RULES FOR ENTRY (TIKTOK):
– Head to TikTok and duet this video.
– At the indicated time, say as many digits of pi as you can in 30 seconds.
– You cannot be wearing any form of earbuds or headphones.
– Your eyes must be closed the entire time you are reciting numbers.

– Set a timer for 30 seconds.
– Record yourself saying as many digits of pi as you can in 30 seconds.
– You cannot be wearing any form of earbuds or headphones.
– Your eyes must be closed the entire time you are reciting numbers.

– Any numbers recited beyond 30 seconds after you recite the first number will not be counted.
PRIZE:
- 1st place: Will receive the official Pi Day Competition Champion award and a Pi Day t-shirt of their choice!
- 2nd place: Will receive a second-place prize and a Pi Day t-shirt of their choice!
- 3rd place: Will recieve a Pi Day t-shirt of their choice!
